The third edition of Raiffeisen Bank Bucharest Challenger is ready to go

For the third consecutive year, Bucharest will host the strongest 3×3 basketball tournament from South-East of Europe, Raiffeisen Bank Bucharest Challenger.

During two days, 26-27 of July, 12 of the best European teams, together with the best four local teams will battle for a place in FIBA 3×3 World Tour a total money prize of 5000 USD.

The winner will get 4000 USD and will qualify for the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Prague Masters, while the second place will receive 1000 USD.

Teams from Albania, Andorra, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Poland, Russia, Serbia and Spain already announced their presence in Bucharest and will focus on their goal to reach the World Tour.

The four players of the Romanian NT, who reached the quarter-finals in the World Championships, in Moscow, one month ago, will team up once more for this tournament.

Another three Romanian teams, featuring Salajan Hustlers, the runners-up of the last year Challenger, will try their best to find their way to the top.

Last year, Team Novi Sad, from Serbia, led by the world number one Dusan Domovic-Bulut, won the Bucharest Challenger and continued their quest, through Prague Masters, until the final of the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Final in Istanbul, where they lost to Team Brezovica, from Slovenia.

Not only proffesional players will be in the spotlight. Thousands of fans are welcomed not only to support their teams, but also to be part of the show in different contests.

The official daily schedule is between 17.00h – 22.00h and in the rest of the time anybody can play basketball on the courts installed downtown Bucharest.

The competition is organized by Sport Arena and ACS Sport Promotion together with our partners Raiffeisen Bank, Gatorade and Idilis.
