Team Bucharest will meet Team Saskatoon and Team Kaunas in the pool phase of the FIBA 3×3 All Stars (12 December, Doha, Qatar).
Coming in Doha with big changes in the roster (more details here), Team Bucharest will face their nightmare from the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Final, Team Saskatoon. The Canadians came back from 16-13 with 1 minute to go from a dramatic semifinal, to win it 19-16 and shatter the dreams of Team Bucharest to reach the final for the first time.
The other opponent of the Romanian team is Team Kaunas, with the uprising star Sajus Martinas, the best player in the world in U18 category. The Lithuanians won the Youth Olympic Games in 2014, beating the big favorites France in the final and finish the tournament without a single loss.
The other pool will bring together Team Novi Sad, the World Tour champion, Team Yokohama, with the best Asian player, Tomoya Ochiai and Team Doha, who won the World Championship for Qatar in Moscow, this year, in June.
