For three vibrant days, from July 25 to 27, the BCR Sport Arena Streetball urban sports festival will take center stage during the Republica de sub Castani event, organized by the Municipality of Ploiești on the iconic Bulevardul Independenței (Castanilor).
With over 15 sports and activity zones designed for every member of the family, a fan zone packed with interactive games, an eSports & tech area, non-stop music, and hourly prize contests, the event promises a full weekend of excitement — and entry is free!
🎉 Part of the 20th Anniversary Tour
This stop marks the fourth stage of the national 3×3 basketball circuit – the BCR Sport Arena Streetball Tour, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary season in 2025.
Over 80 teams are expected to compete in the official 3×3 tournament across all age categories – from U10 to 35+, in both men’s and women’s divisions.
🏐 More Than Just Basketball
Visitors will also get the chance to try their hand at other sports such as handball, volleyball, table tennis, football-tennis, and badminton.
A dedicated handball court, supported by the Prahova County Council, will host training and initiation sessions led by coaches and players from CSJ Prahova (County Sports Club).
Stretching across more than 300 meters, Bulevardul Castanilor will feature:
- A fitness and combat sports area powered by Titan Academy
- A dance zone run in collaboration with iSports Dancers Ploiești
- Mini-basketball and mini-football courts for children
- A multimedia zone with console gaming experiences
