“The Bullet” set for Bucharest Challenger. The World Champions are coming to Bucharest

With 11 tournaments won in 2016, out of the 20 played on the 3×3 World Basketball Circuit, Novi Sad Al Wadha is THE TEAM, when it comes to the single panel-contests. A brand itself, a renowned quartet and a one hundred percent pro team, lured by a strong sponsor in the Asian desert to play for the United Arab Emirates, Novi Sad comes to Bucharest after a big victory at the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Utsunomiya Master. In Japan, they managed to shine although they did not play in the traditional formula, given the fact that Marko Zdero was sidelined by injured. Nonetheless, Dejan “Maestro” Majstorovic was named MVP, and he, along with Dusan Bulut, Marko Savic and Nikola Pavlovic, defeated the powerful Slovenian team Ljubljana, right from the group stage.
Star player: Dusan “The Bullet” Bulut

The former world number one is, unquestionable, the star of Novi Sad. Most often, he manages to take on his own a tricky final of the match and make the difference in favor of his team. While among the images that remain as vivid as ever for the Romanian organizers is seeing Dusan Bulut come out of the hotel elevator with the fire extinguisher in his hand and triggering it into the hotel’s main lobby, after the European Championship back in 2016, for anyone who has seen “The Bullet” play, Novi Sad is “must-see” at Bucharest Challenger, August 12-13.

The rivalry between Novi Sad Al Wadha and Ljubljana promises lots of sparks in Bucharest: the Slovenians have broken the Serbian supremacy at the top of the 3×3 World Individual Rankings and, now, only Dusan Bulut still holds a spot on the podium, but it is the second place, not the first. 3×3 World Champions in 2016 and 2017, for Serbia, the Novi Sad stellar team has already thrilled the Bucharest crowd during the previous editions of the Challenger, as well as during the first two European Championships.

Bottom line: the University Square gets another glance at the familiar aces from the neighboring country, when some of the true legends of the new Olympic discipline will take on the court.
