This year, Sport Arena Streetball offers the basketball lovers even more from the sport they love so much. It’s the eight year we organize the one and only streetball championship in Romania, and we thought about raising the stakes.
So, next to the five traditional tournaments of the Sport Arena Streetball championship, four regulars and one Master, we will organize our first international tournament, the Sport Arena Bucharest Challenger (4th-5th of August), which will also have the status of a FIBA World Tour qualifier.
The winning team of the Sport Arena Streetball championship will qualify for the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Madrid and the winner of the Sport Arena Bucharest Challenger will qualify for the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Istanbul and will receive a 5000 euro prize.
The Challenger will reunite some of the best teams from across the Europe together with four Romanian teams. The games will be played in the downtown of the Romanian capital city Bucharest.
If basketball lovers don’t have enough, this is not all. Sport Arena Streetball is the main promoter for the “Sports in the park festival”, which will take place in the Carol Park from Bucharest (2nd-3rd of June). There, everybody can play all kind of different sports, basketball included!
