FIBA 3×3<\/strong> has published the national rankings at the start of 2026, for both men\u2019s and women\u2019s competitions. In Romania, the top spot on the men\u2019s side is held by Iannis Alexandru P\u0103duraru<\/strong>, while Alina Podar<\/strong> leads the women\u2019s standings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

P\u0103duraru, 22, represented Romania last season in the Youth Nations League<\/strong> circuit. In addition, he won the third stop of the national BCR Sport Arena Streetball<\/strong> circuit in the U21 category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alina Podar competed last season in the FIBA 3×3 Women\u2019s Series<\/strong> with CS Rapid<\/strong>, a team that made its debut on the international women\u2019s circuit in 2025. Rapid, coached by Seda Erdogan<\/strong>, qualified for the Women’s Series Final in Shanghai<\/strong>, where they finished in seventh place. Over the six tournaments played en route to the final, the Bucharest-based team reached the semifinals on four occasions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team\u2019s strong performances were fully reflected in the individual rankings, with Rapid boasting a true \u201cace quartet\u201d \u2014 four players holding the top position in their respective national standings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside Alina Podar are Hortense Limouzin<\/strong>, Martyna Petrenait\u0117<\/strong>, and Natalie Kucowski<\/strong>. The three foreign players also occupy first place in the national rankings of the countries they represent: Limouzin in France, Petrenait\u0117 in Lithuania, and Kucowski in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rapid\u2019s fifth player, Alexandra Bobar<\/strong>, sits second in the Romanian women\u2019s national rankings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the individual FIBA 3×3<\/strong> world rankings, Limouzin is fifth, Petrenait\u0117 16th, Podar 23rd, and Kucowski 27th.
