The elite 3×3 basketball teams representing the Netherlands, France, and Lithuania<\/strong> \u2013 the Paris 2024 Olympic medalists<\/strong> \u2013 are coming to Bucharest for one final showdown before the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Final<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event, hosted by ParkLake Shopping Center<\/strong> on November 8\u20139<\/strong>, is supported by CS Rapid Bucharest<\/strong> and organized with the backing of the Ilfov County Council<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teams Amsterdam (Netherlands)<\/strong>, Toulouse (France)<\/strong>, and Raudondvaris (Lithuania)<\/strong>, all featuring Olympic medalists from Paris 2024, will join the world\u2019s current number one team, Ub (Serbia)<\/strong>, at the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Bucharest Masters<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In total, nine of the top ten teams in the world<\/strong> will land in the Romanian capital for one last sprint before the grand final in Manama, Bahrain<\/strong>. The rest of the top 10 lineup includes Miami (USA)<\/strong>, Chongming (China)<\/strong>, Liman (Serbia)<\/strong>, Riffa (Bahrain)<\/strong>, and Vienna (Austria)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The total prize money for the event amounts to 135,000 USD<\/strong>, with the champions taking home a 40,000 USD<\/strong> check.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Romania will also be represented by \u0218tiin\u021ba Bucharest<\/strong>, making their first appearance in this season\u2019s World Tour after three Challenger events. Their best result so far was 10th place in Poitiers (France)<\/strong>, and they currently rank 67th in the FIBA 3×3 world standings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four Olympic Champions in Bucharest<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Fans will get the chance to witness several of the biggest stars in 3×3 basketball, including:
Worthy de Jong<\/strong> \u2013 the Dutch hero who hit the game-winner for Olympic gold in Paris;
Jan Driessen<\/strong> – the Control Tower of the Dutch team, winners of Olympic gold
Franck Seguela<\/strong> of France \u2013 Olympic silver medalist in Paris 2024;
Karlis Lasmanis<\/strong> and Nauris Miezis<\/strong>, Latvian legends, both Olympic gold medalists from Tokyo 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Between games, spectators will enjoy entertainment and interactive contests featuring artists from the Bucharest Metropolitan Circus<\/strong>, dancers from Club Drag de M\u0103gurele (Ilfov County)<\/strong>, and performers from the Ana Dance School<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The show will also include the iconic FIBA 3×3 World Tour Slam Dunk Contest<\/strong>, featuring some of the best dunkers in the world. This will be the final competitive appearance<\/strong> of Polish dunk legend Rafal \u201cLipek\u201d Lipinski<\/strong>, a four\u2011time World Tour Final champion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cD\u0103ruie\u0219te\u201d \u2013 A Campaign for Good<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

During the event, the Romanian Basketball Federation<\/strong> will launch the \u201cD\u0103ruie\u0219te\u201d (\u201cGive\u201d) donation campaign<\/strong>, inviting everyone to donate symbolic basketball-related items \u2013 balls, jerseys, or promotional materials \u2013 which will be distributed to underprivileged children, including those from Special Olympics Romania<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This initiative is part of the FIBA \u201cHer World, Her Rules\u201d<\/strong> and FIBA Foundation \u201cBasketball for Good\u201d<\/strong> programs, reaffirming the Federation\u2019s commitment to inclusion, generosity, and social responsibility through sport<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
