More than 400 players<\/strong> competed in the official 3×3 basketball tournament, celebrating the 20th season<\/strong> of Sport Arena Streetball history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bogdan Stelea and Ionu\u021b Badea stood out in the Celebrity Game<\/strong>, which also featured Gic\u0103 Mihali, Ionel D\u0103nciulescu, Marius Niculae, basketball legends Virgil St\u0103nescu and Hristu \u0218apera, volleyball star Larisa Vasilic\u0103, and the Mayor of Sector 1, George Tu\u021b\u0103<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ionu\u021b Badea showed impressive court vision, delivering several flashy assists that got the crowd roaring, while \u201cArnold\u201d Stelea dominated in the paint, leading his team to an 11-6 win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Players from Sportul Studen\u021besc\u2019s rugby and hockey teams also accepted the 3×3 challenge. They were supported on-court by Rapid Bucure\u0219ti 3×3 player Alexandra Bobar<\/strong> and coach Seda Erdogan<\/strong>. In a tight contest, the hockey team came out on top<\/strong>, 5-4 \u2014 then brought out their sticks and pucks for a surprise finale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Romanian 3×3 national team members Mihnea Brie<\/strong> and Mihai St\u0103nescu<\/strong>, alongside teammates Matei Curea<\/strong> and Ukrainian standout Oleh Bondarenko<\/strong>, won the Open Men\u2019s title<\/strong> with MBM Team, defeating UPT Pitbulls from Timi\u0219oara 15-10 in the final. Brie was named Tissot MVP<\/strong> and received a Swiss timepiece courtesy of Albini Prassa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The most thrilling game was in the U21 Women\u2019s<\/strong> final. Amira Bouchedid<\/strong> drained a clutch 2-pointer in overtime, giving Farul Constan\u021ba a 13-12 win over “Na situa\u021bie”. Bouchedid was awarded Horizon Rising Star MVP<\/strong>, with the men\u2019s version going to Robert Spoitoru<\/strong> of team Belelele.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3×3 basketball also served as a platform for inclusion and accessibility<\/strong>. Wheelchair basketball matches were organized in partnership with Motivation Romania Foundation<\/strong>, and Unified Basketball games took place in collaboration with Special Olympics Romania<\/strong>, showing once again that sports go beyond physical health \u2014 they help build communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fans enjoyed a wide variety of urban sports zones including: volleyball, table tennis, foot-tennis, pickleball, badminton, mini-basketball, mini-football, jump rope, skateboarding, dance, gaming, and custom fan games \u2014 all open from morning to evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Athletes from Rapid Bucure\u0219ti<\/strong>, Sportul Studen\u021besc<\/strong>, CSM Bucure\u0219ti<\/strong>, and Sport Team Football Academy<\/strong> held their training sessions in the event area. Volleyball legend Dan G\u00eerleanu<\/strong>, Olympic bronze medalist and current youth coordinator at CSM Bucure\u0219ti, led several training sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Hot Jumps<\/strong> and Vlad Chiril\u0103<\/strong> brought the joy of jumping rope back to all ages, blending fun with fitness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The skate team from SPOT<\/strong> \u2013 Bucharest\u2019s only indoor skatepark \u2013 amazed the crowd with demos and workshops.
