Between July 11\u201313, 2025<\/strong>, ParkLake Shopping Center<\/strong> will become the scene of one of the most spectacular basketball events in Romania this year. Two official FIBA 3×3 competitions<\/strong> \u2013 the Women\u2019s Series<\/strong> and the Youth Nations League<\/strong> \u2013 will bring to Bucharest some of the world\u2019s top female players and the most promising U23 talents from across Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organized by Sport Arena Streetball<\/strong> in partnership with CS Rapid Bucure\u0219ti<\/strong>, the event is part of the official FIBA 3×3 calendar<\/strong>. Admission is free<\/strong> for all spectators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back on the Women’s Series Map<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Three years after hosting its last edition, Bucharest is once again part of the global professional 3×3 women’s series, joining other major cities like Amsterdam<\/strong>, Vienna<\/strong>, Baku<\/strong>, Jakarta<\/strong>, Edmonton<\/strong>, Bordeaux<\/strong>, and Shanghai<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ParkLake Shopping Center tournament<\/strong> will feature 16 teams from 15 countries<\/strong>, including two Romanian entries: Rapid Bucure\u0219ti<\/strong> and Team Bucharest<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Paris 2024 to ParkLake Bucharest<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rapid Bucure\u0219ti<\/strong> made its 2025 season debut in Vienna<\/strong>, finishing an impressive third place<\/strong>\u2014a historic first for a Romanian team in the six-season history of the Women\u2019s Series to reach the semifinals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their squad includes Hortense Limouzin<\/strong>, who represented France at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games<\/strong>. Limouzin is a former world and European champion<\/strong>, now playing alongside Alina Podar<\/strong>, Alexandra Bobar<\/strong>, and Lithuania\u2019s Martyna Petrenaite<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Team Bucharest<\/strong> features Sonia Cazacu<\/strong>, Alexandra Chi\u021banu<\/strong>, Maria Militaru<\/strong>, and Rafaela Stanciu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Future Olympic Stars Head to Bucharest<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Last year, Romanian fans witnessed the rise of one of the most exciting squads in the FIBA 3×3 Youth Nations League circuit: Germany<\/strong>, which went on to place fourth at this year\u2019s FIBA 3×3 World Cup<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year promises equally thrilling matchups, with 12 national U23 teams from six countries<\/strong> set to compete: Romania, Hungary, France, Great Britain, Portugal<\/strong>, and Italy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An Outdoor Urban Sports Festival<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the intense 3×3 basketball games inside ParkLake\u2019s atrium<\/strong>, fans will enjoy an urban sports festival<\/strong> in the outdoor fan zone, featuring family-friendly activities and fun challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fan zone<\/strong> will include themed contests with prizes, console gaming stations, a volleyball court, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Between games, both the central court<\/strong> and fan areas will host live entertainment<\/strong>, with performances from dance crews, cheerleaders<\/strong>, and artists from the Metropolitan Circus of Bucharest<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
