Sonia Ursu, among Top 10 women who ruled 3×3 in 2016

The Romanian 3×3 star Sonia Ursu was among the top 10 women who ruled 3×3 basketball in 2016, according to fiba.com, who highlighted some of the best players in the world. 

The world number 52 in FIBA 3×3 World Ranking for women, Sonia was a silver medalist of the 3×3 European Championships in Bucharest, with the Romanian National Team, together with Gabriela Marginean, Anca Sipos and Andra Haas.

“Don’t let the arty Instagram account distract you, Ursu means bear in Romanian and when Ursu steps on the court, she’s all grit like a growling grizzly. The 23-year-old made some big shots this year to lead her country to a shining silver medal at the 3×3 European Championships“, says fiba.com.
